Venice Marco Polo Airport is not a local pickup for Taxi Legende.
When we accept your reservation, a driver reserves a significant part of the day and needs to travel into Italy before your scheduled pickup.
And yes — we have had this happen before:
“Oh, sorry, we don't need the transfer anymore.”
The problem is that sometimes the driver was already on the way to Venice.
For that reason, some Venice Airport pickups require a partial advance payment or deposit to confirm the reservation.
It is not because we do not trust our passengers. It simply confirms that the vehicle and the driver's time are genuinely reserved for your journey.
If advance payment does not work for you, that is completely fine.
We only prefer to make this clear early, before we spend a long time discussing flight details, destination, passengers, luggage and price, only to discover at the final step that the booking cannot be confirmed. 😎
For some longer transfers, the deposit may be around 50% of the agreed price. The exact amount is confirmed together with the offer.
